Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the girlmath website, iOS app, and related services (together, the "Service") operated by Street Tribe ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

girlmath is a personal finance dashboard tool. It helps you organize widgets for spending, savings, habits, and related metrics; optionally sync data when signed in; upload e-statements to extract purchase details; share read-only views; and use an AI helper for budgeting tips. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You may use parts of the Service without an account. If you create an account, you must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users.

You retain ownership of the data and content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example syncing dashboards, rendering share links, or running the AI helper when you use it).

You agree that you will not:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Upload statements or files you do not have the right to process
• Attempt to access other users' data, disrupt the Service, or reverse engineer it except where allowed by law
• Abuse rate limits, scrapers, or automated access in a way that harms the Service
• Misrepresent the Service as professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice

girlmath and its AI helper provide general information and organization tools only. Nothing in the Service is financial, tax, accounting, legal, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make with your money. Always verify numbers against your bank or official statements.

Statement parsing, optional bank sync (Plus), and the AI helper are convenience features and may contain errors or omissions. Merchants, amounts, categories, and AI replies can be wrong. You should review results before relying on them. AI responses may be generated by third-party models and are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.

If you link a bank, you authorize us and our bank-data partner (Plaid) to retrieve transaction data for your girlmath ledger. You can disconnect at any time. Bank credentials are handled by Plaid; we store encrypted access tokens needed to refresh data.

Paid Plus features (such as extra themes, wrap styles, stronger AI allowance, and bank sync) may be offered as a recurring subscription. Web purchases are processed by Stripe; iOS purchases may be processed through the App Store. Prices may differ by platform. Subscriptions renew until you cancel according to the platform's rules. Taxes may apply. Refunds follow Stripe or Apple policies as applicable.

The Service—including branding, design, software, and documentation—is owned by Street Tribe or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials except as needed to use the Service or with our prior written permission.

The Service relies on third parties such as hosting, authentication, payments (Stripe / Apple), bank data (Plaid), and AI providers. Their availability and terms may affect your experience. App Store purchases and Apple platform rules also apply when you use the iOS app.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STREET TRIBE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Street Tribe and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any non-waivable consumer protections where you live.
